Initial Consultation
No Fee – 30 minute session
The initial consultation is for us to determine whether there is a good fit in working together while exploring potential goals, approaches and overall treatment plan
Individual Therapy
$150 per 50 minute session
Limited sliding scale spots may be available for those experiencing financial difficulties which can be discussed at time of consultation.
Couples Therapy
$240 per 90 minute session
Limited sliding scale spots may be available for those experiencing financial difficulties which can be discussed at time of consultation.
Insurance
As a Registered Psychotherapist my fees may be covered in full or in part by private health insurance or employee benefit plans. Please check your coverage carefully and ask the following questions:
Do I have mental health insurance benefits that covers psychotherapy conducted by a registered psychotherapist?
How much coverage do I have per year?
Is there a coverage limit per session?
Does my plan reset according to the calendar year?
Payment Options
I accept the following forms of payment:
credit cards and electronic payments via Interac e-transfer within 24 hours of the session
cash in person at the start or end of each session
Cancellation Policy
A scheduled appointment is reserved for you. When it is cancelled with short notice, or missed altogether, it is often too late to offer this time to someone else and the appointment time goes unfilled.
There is no charge if an appointment is cancelled or changed with more than 24 hours notice.
If an appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice from the scheduled appointment time, you will be charged the full session fee.
Privacy and Confidentiality
Your Privacy and Confidentiality are fundamental to psychotherapy and helps to ensure a safe environment is created.
Your personal information is treated in accordance with all applicable professional and legal obligations and all reasonable steps to keep your information safe and secure are taken.
For the purposes of providing psychotherapy, we may collect, use or disclose your personal information only with your consent or if the collection, use or disclosure is otherwise permitted or required by law.
It is important to note that by law, there are a limited number of circumstances where there are limits to confidentiality which are covered during the initial consultation. Some of these include: risk of child abuse, intentions to seriously harm others or oneself, court orders or subpoenas to release information to a third party such as a lawyer etc.
In terms of electronic communications, please note email and some means of digital communications are not a secure means of transmission. As such, it is recommended that you do not use electronic communications to discuss information you think is highly sensitive i.e. personal health information.
