Individual Therapy (50 mins)

Making sense and finding meaning in our lives

My approach to therapy is grounded in the understanding that much of what we do is striving to find some sort of state of balance, connection and health in our lives. With that understanding I strive to provide a safe, empathetic space to share, to be heard, and to be understood in order to help you find new meaning and help re-organize the ways in which you might experience the world.

Couples Therapy (90 mins)

Connection, Intimacy and Communication skills

When working with couples I help to bring awareness and insight into repetitive patterns of behaviour, to the ways in which individuals defend themselves from being hurt in the relationship and how early life experiences plus life stressors can contribute to relationship distress. I also seek to offer tools to help couples communicate more effectively in order to deepen connection with each other.

It is then through the understanding of existing patterns, using effective communication and the new experiences presented during Couples Therapy that I feel couples have the potential to heal past relational wounds, form new narratives and connect more deeply through empathy, secure attachment, self-awareness and awareness of the other.

Group Therapy (90 mins)

Building towards better self care, stress management and relationship skills

When working with groups I facilitate a safe environment and provide various tools for group members to explore and improve one’s ability to cope with stressors while building capacities for increased self-awareness, better relationships and the experience of added meaning in one’s life.
